Meet our team
JORYU DISTILLERY was established by SAKE KATO with the aim of delivering the fresh seafood and fertile land of Hokkaido to all of Japan.
Our team of distillers, chefs, bartenders and others with diverse backgrounds come together to create premium spirits.
Project leader: SAKE KATO
As the project leader, SAKE KATO will determine the direction of JORYU DISTILLERY. He will comprehensively supervise everything from the selection of materials to the manufacturing process and the creation of the brand's worldview.
Technical Support: Mitosaya Botanical Distillery
The Mitosaya Botanical Distillery, which produces distilled spirits using herbs and fruits, provides technical support. By fusing tradition and innovation, JORYU DISTILLERY brings out its unique character.
Design: Yusuke Seki Studio
Yusuke Seki Studio designed the space for JORYU DISTILLERY to be compact yet functional and beautiful. The lean layout allows for an efficient manufacturing process, while the visually pleasing design captivates visitors.

The location and particularities of the distillery
JORYU DISTILLERY is located in Izumisano, Osaka. Taking full advantage of its convenient location near Kansai Airport, we incorporate international materials and skills to create products that can only be made here.
As an urban distillery, although small-scale, it uses its own unique production methods to bring out the best in local ingredients.
